Unilever (UL) has suspended plans to commence a sales process for its ice cream business to private equity groups, the Financial Times reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
Instead, the company will focus on a push to spin off the unit, which is home to brands like Ben & Jerry's, Magnum and Wall's, in an independent listing, the report said.
Unilever did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
