Brazil-based Nu Holdings (NU) is considering changing its domicile to the UK, Bloomberg reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.
The company discussed the possible transition with the UK government as part of broader arrangements between Brazil and the UK during the Group of 20 leaders' summit in Rio de Janeiro, the report said.
The financial technology company is working with the British government on the plans under which it will remain headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and change its legal domicile to the UK, according to Bloomberg.
A Nu spokesperson reportedly told Bloomberg the company had made "no decision" regarding the redomiciliation.
Nu Holdings did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
