The chief financial officer of LyondellBasell plans to retire next spring and will be replaced by a senior vice president at the company.

The chemicals giant said Friday that Michael McMurray is leaving the C-suite on March 1.

He will be succeeded by Agustin Izquierdo, the senior vice president of the Olefins & Polyolefins Americas & Refining segment.

McMurray has been with LyondellBasell since late 2019, spent more than a decade before that at Owens Corning and served in various roles at Shell for more than 20 years before that.

Before joining LyondellBasell in 2022, Izquierdo held multiple positions at BASF and worked for nearly a decade before that in Morgan Stanley's investment-banking division.
