Lockheed Martin was awarded an $869.9 million procurement contract in support of the F-35 program, the Defense Department said Friday.
The contract calls for procurement of long lead materials, parts, components, and associated support. Work will be performed at a number of locations including Fort Worth, Texas, El Segundo, Calif., and overseas in the U.K. and Italy, the department said.
The contract includes aircraft for the Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, non-U.S. Defense Department partners, and for foreign military sales. The work is expected to be completed May 2031.
