1607 ET - Stock indexes rise as better-than-forecast Nvidia results take a while to boost Wall Street's mood. The AI chip maker rises 0.5% after it beat earnings forecasts late yesterday. Super Micro Computer leads the S&P 500, rising 15% after Nvidia listed the server maker as one of its reliable partners. Alphabet drops 4.6% as the Justice Department calls for Google to sell off its Chrome browser. Bitcoin rises 4%, moving closer to $100,000. Treasury yields and the dollar rise as robust data make the Fed more likely to cut slowly. The DJIA adds 462 points, or 1%, to 43870, the S&P 500 rises 0.5% to 5949 and the Nasdaq closes slightly higher, at 18972. (paulo.trevisani@wsj.com; @ptrevisani)
