Hong Kong Airlines may add Chinese-made C919 airliner to its fleet as it continues to restore its status as a long-haul international routes operator, The Standard reported Friday.
The airline's chairman, Yan Bo, said the airline is in talks with the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China to purchase a C919. However, it will buy based on its needs, the publication added.
The airline is adding seasonal routes like Hong Kong and Gold Coast, Australia, and ongoing ones like Vancouver. The airline plans 30 destinations soon, needing room for more aircraft, The Standard said.
