UGI (UGI) is projecting adjusted EPS for its fiscal 2025 ending next September of $2.75 to $3.05, spanning the $2.95 three-analyst consensus view compiled by FactSet.

Shares of the natural gas and propane utility were more than 14% higher, staying within reach of their best price since June 2023. Nearly 4.8 million shares changed hands by midday Friday, more than double the stock's average trading volume of 1.9 million shares.

Elastic (ESTC) reported improved Q2 financial results late Thursday that exceeded consensus forecasts, with the cloud-computing and artificial-intelligence company projecting net income and revenue for the current quarter and fiscal 2025 ending in April also topping Wall Street expectations.

Shares advanced more than 14% in recent trading, easing from a nearly 26% gain soon after Friday's opening bell. Intraday trading volume was more than 5.6 million shares, compared to a daily average of 1.4 million shares.

StoneCo's (STNE) board has authorized the repurchase of up to 2 billion Brazilian reais ($343.9 million) of common shares, with the new stock buyback plan replacing its existing program that saw the financial technology company re-acquiring about 13.2 million shares.

StoneCo shares recently were almost 11% higher, maintaining a perch near their intraday high. More than 6 million shares traded so far on Friday, exceeding the stock's average daily volume of around 4.8 million shares.
