Verizon Communications' (VZ) Verizon Business unit said Thursday that it won a new five-year contract from the US Department of Agriculture to support the agency's connectivity capabilities.
The company will provide wireless services and service-enabled devices under the contract, with the first year valued at over $21 million. The contract also "creates the potential for mobile broadband" for connected laptops at the agency's field offices, Verizon Business said.
