TeraWulf named Sean Farrell chief operating officer, effective immediately.

The Easton, Md.-based bitcoin miner on Thursday said Farrell, 38 years old, has served as TeraWulf's senior vice president of operations since 2022. He has more than 13 years of experience in the energy sector, having held leadership roles at Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy and Siemens Energy, said TeraWulf.

Farrell succeeds co-founder Nazar Khan, who has resigned from his COO role but retains his position as chief technology officer. Farrell will report to Khan.

Chief Executive Paul Prager said Farrell's appointment comes as the company builds on its artificial-intelligence data-center capabilities.
