Southern Unit Further Expands Millers Branch Solar Facility in Texas to Total Capacity of 512 Megawatts

Southern's (SO) Southern Power unit said Thursday that it will further expand its Millers Branch solar facility in Texas to push the facility's total generating capacity to 512 megawatts.

The company said the phase 3 expansion will be the final stage of project construction and will add 132 megawatts to the facility's capacity. Southern Power said phase 3 of the facility is expected to reach commercial operation in Q4 2026.
