2022.While the ACCC did not object to Australia Post’s last price notification, it made a series of recommendations in its March 2024 decision about Australia Post’s cost allocation model, forecast data and provision of regulatory information.It will assess Australia Post’s implementation of these recommendations before making its decision on the current proposal.A new delivery time standard update, a review of costs, and improved forecast data were all recommended.But further recommendations have since been made and will inform future price increases.“These recommendations were aimed at enhancing the robustness and transparency of the letter volume demand forecasts that underpin Australia Post’s price notifications,” the Diversified Specifics Australia Post September 2024 update said.ACCC suggested that, to do so, Australia Post could investigate the potential consequences related to demand that would come from changes to the delivery timetable, and offer worst-case and
