** Bitcoin BTC= traded at record levels over $99,300 earlier in the session, before falling to $98,340

** The world's largest cryptocurrency has gained after Donald Trump won the U.S. presidential election as markets expect a friendlier regulatory environment for digital assets

** Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase Global COIN.O falls 0.9%; miners Riot Platforms RIOT.O, MARA Holdings MARA.O, and U.S.-listed shares of Hut 8 HUT.O decrease 2.2%, 3.2% and 1.6%, respectively

** Bitcoin miner CleanSpark CLSK.O sheds 1.3%

** iShares Bitcoin Trust IBIT.O dips 0.2% and ProShares Bitcoin Strategy ETF BITO.P down 0.2%

** Bitcoin has more than doubled its value so far in 2024
