Dave & Buster's Remains Under Pressure, But Has Path Forward -- Market Talk

Dow Jones02:09

1309 ET - Dave & Buster's Entertainment will likely report another quarter of falling same-store sales, though the company's cost-management efforts should soften a blow to its bottom line, UBS analysts say in a research note. The main focus of the arcade-restaurant operator's 3Q earnings call, projected to occur in early December, is expected to be "the latest sales trajectory and any implications for 4Q trends, including updates on contributions from strategic plans to support stronger results in '25," they write. The current quarter should benefit from promotions and special events, analysts write. Separately, the company on Monday says it will be open Thanksgiving Day, offering a slew of discounts over the long weekend. Shares rise 8.8%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
