Luk Fook Holdings (International) (HKG:0590) recorded a profit attributable to equity holders of HK$434.5 million for the six months ended Sept. 30, 53.9% lower than HK$942.7 million logged for the corresponding period last year, a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange said.
Earnings per share attributable to equity holders stood at HK$0.74 for the reporting period, compared with HK$1.61 recorded for the year-ago period.
The jewelry company's revenue for the six months under review was HK$5.45 billion, 27.2% lower than HK$7.49 billion booked a year ago.
The company attributed the decrease in revenue to a decrease in sales of gold products resulting from record-high prices during the reporting period.
The board recommended an interim dividend of HK$0.55 per share for the reporting period compared with HK$0.72 per share from the last year.
