Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group (HKG:1929) profit plunged to HK$2.53 billion in the half-year ended Sept. 30 from HK$4.55 billion in the year-ago period, according to a Tuesday filing with the Hong Kong Exchange.
Earnings per share at the jeweler increased to HK$0.253 from HK$0.455 in the previous year.
Revenue declined to HK$39.4 billion from HK$49.5 billion a year earlier.
The jeweler declared an interim dividend of HK$0.20 per share, lower than the HK$0.25 per share paid a year earlier, and payable Dec. 24 to shareholders on record as of Dec. 12.
