MT Newswires Live12:19

China Southern Airlines (HKG:1055, SHA:600029) plans to dispose of its 10 remaining Boeing 787-8 aircraft as the airline's recovery of its long-haul routes following the pandemic is taking longer, Yicai Global reported Monday.

The airline did not say who the buyer was, according to Yicai.

China Southern has 907 aircraft with 23 new ones. The airline retired its other wide-bodied jets, Yicai reported.

Shares jumped 3% in Shanghai and 2% in Hong Kong during Tuesday's midday trading.
