Mastercard (MA) Foundation agreed to buy certain private equity ownership interests and other illiquid assets held by Kodak Retirement Income Plan Trust for the benefit of Kodak Retirement Income Plan, Eastman Kodak (KODK) said Monday.
The illiquid assets, having a total net asset value of $764.4 million as of March 31, will be bought for $550.6 million, Eastman Kodak said in a regulatory filing.
The purchase price is payable in cash at closing, expected to occur as of Dec. 31, according to the filing.
Eastman Kodak shares advanced 22% and Mastercard shares rose 0.8% in recent Monday trading.
