Greenidge Generation Holdings (GREE) said Wednesday it agreed to sell its 152-acre property in Spartanburg, South Carolina, to Data Journey for $12.1 million in cash and an 8% profit participation interest in a planned data center at the site.
The deal is expected to close in Q1 2025, following which Greenidge will provide support to Data Journey in the site development and buildout.
Greenidge said it is assessing other sites for similar data center buildouts. The company plans to partner with Data Journey on other similar sites.
Greenidge shares were up 1.3% in recent trading.
