American Coastal Insurance shares were up 10% at $14.63 after the company declared a special cash dividend of 50 cents a share.
The insurance holding company said the special dividend is payable Jan. 10, to shareholders of record Jan. 2.
The stock hit its 52-week high of $15.08 earlier in the session, and is up 71% in the past 12 months.
