Kula Gold (ASX:KGD) has commenced a reconnaissance reverse circulation drilling program at the Mustang Gold prospect, part of its Kirup Project in Western Australia.
The Kirup Project is strategically located near Donnybrook, approximately 110km southwest of the Boddington Gold Mine.
The drilling program benefits from financial support through the Western Australian Government’s exploration incentive scheme.
The scheme covers 50% of the direct drilling and mobilisation costs, up to a total of $180,000.
The initiative reflects the potential of the 0.8km gold prospect, as confirmed by recent geochemical studies and independent reviews.
"Exciting to commence reverse circulation drilling at the Mustang prospect following a fully peer-reviewed successful EIS application over a high order 0.8km gold prospect," said Ric Dawson, Managing Director of Kula Gold.
The company's exploration strategy at Kirup includes a focus on geological structures that could host gold deposits similar to those at the Donnybrook or Boddington Gold Mines.
The initial phase includes a 500m drilling program aimed at uncovering the primary gold source.
Further updates on the exploration efforts and results from the Mustang Gold Prospect will be communicated as they become available.
Kula Gold is a mineral exploration company engaged in the discovery of new mineral deposits in Western Australia.
The company is advancing projects within the Western Australia goldfields at the Mt Palmer Gold Project and Boomerang Gold Prospect at Marvel Loch Southern Cross.
