MFE-MediaForEurope in Talks for 3.4 Billion-Euro Loan for ProSiebensat1 Bid, Il Messaggero Says

-- MFE-MediaForEurope selected UniCredit to arrange and underwrite a loan of 3.4 billion euros ($3.6 billion) with a group of banks to finance a bid for German rival ProSiebensat1, Italian newspapers Il Messaggero reports.

-- The loan involves large Italian and foreign banks including Intesa Sanpaolo, Banco BPM, BPER Banca, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank, with each contributing 566.6 million euros, Il Messaggero says. The duration of the term loan is five years, it adds.

--MFE asked UniCredit to provide a commitment as early as Dec. 5, though it expects to use the financing only in 2025, according to the report.
