Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (SGX:BS6) recently secured new shipbuilding contracts worth $2.63 billion for 21 vessels, according to a filing with the Singapore Exchange on Monday.
The contracts include six units of liquefied natural gas dual-fuel 17,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containerships, six units of methanol dual fuel 13,000TEU containerships, four units of 39,000 deadweight tonnage (DWT) medium range oil tankers, two units of 4,300TEU containerships, and three units of 45,000DWT bulk carriers.
The contracts are scheduled for deliveries between 2027 and 2029.
Year to date, the group has secured 119 shipbuilding contracts worth $14.27 billion.
Shares of the shipbuilder surged over 4% in recent trading.
