1118 ET - Many restaurants struggled with declining traffic this year, but chains like Cheesecake Factory and Restaurant Brands International are seeing some bright spots. Restaurant Brands said at an investor conference this week that industry trends have improved since bottoming out in July, and the Burger King owner is "cautiously optimistic" that demand will grow next year. Cheesecake Factory said this week that consumers are in a better spot than they had been. (heather.haddon@wsj.com; @heatherhaddon)
