Ganfeng Lithium to Transfer Part of Mali Subsidiary to Mali Government

Ganfeng Lithium Group (HKG:1772, SHE:002460), through unit GFL International, plans to transfer 35% of its holdings in Lithium du Mali to the Mali government, according to a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing on Friday.

The Mali government will receive 10% of Lithium du Mali free of charge, while the 25% will be bought for 20 billion West African CFA francs.

The government also agreed to support the development and construction of the second phase of the Goulamina spodumene project, the Chinese lithium products manufacturer said.

After the transaction, 65% of Lithium du Mali will remain with GFL.
