Airbus Boosts November Deliveries But Will Struggle to Meet Annual Target -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-06

1506 GMT - Airbus delivered more aircraft than expected in November, but will struggle to meet its target of 770 deliveries for the full year, RBC Capital Markets analysts say. The aircraft maker delivered 84 planes in November, 20 more than in the same period of last year, boosting its year-to-date deliveries to 643. The analysts expect Airbus to report a strong delivery number in December too, but they anticipate the group will end the year with about 760 aircraft delivered. This won't be a disappointment to investors, they note. The engine supply chain is likely to remain the main factor influencing Airbus's deliveries of its A320 aircraft, the analysts add. Shares are up 1.8% at 156 euros. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
