BUZZ-National Beverage slides after sales drop on tepid demand

** LaCroix maker National Beverage's FIZZ.O shares down ~7% at $46.29 in afternoon trading

** FIZZ's Q2 net sales fell 3% to $291.2 mln from a year ago owing to weaker demand for its energy drinks and juices

** Co said its sales were also affected by supply-chain disruptions and store closures caused by storms

** However, co said it is optimistic about future growth due to uptick in sales volume seen in October

** Co's quarterly diluted earnings per share increased to 49 cents from 47 cents a year ago

** Including session moves, stock down 0.3% YTD
