Maanshan Iron & Steel (HKG:0323, SHA:600808) is unaware of any reason for the consecutive increase in the share prices of its Shanghai-listed shares, according to a Wednesday filing.
The manufacturer of iron and steel said the increase in the closing prices of its A shares deviated by over 20% on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on a cumulative basis.
The company conducted an internal investigation and verified with its controlling shareholders Magang (Group) Holding and China Baowu Steel Group.
The company said its business operations remain normal and the company is not aware of any concerning or related event or information which may have caused such fluctuation in its closing prices.
