1018 ET - Build-A-Bear Workshop's revised outlook for the year may suggest a softer start to the holiday season or ongoing softness in e-commerce activity, but the new implied 4Q does point to continued growth in the quarter, says D.A. Davidson in a research note. The stuffed-toy retailer outperformed in 3Q, and while the revised outlook for the year implies 4Q sales below Wall Street's estimates, the ranges still imply growth in the quarter, say the analysts. They add that the company increasing its store count outlook is a positive long-term indicator. "The company continues to execute on a strategy that has enabled BBW to be one of the few to hold onto all of their COVID era gains," D.A. Davidson says. Shares jump 13% to $42.98.
