Alpha Metallurgical Resources said Chairman David Stetson is retiring, effective Dec. 13.
The Tennessee-based mining company said Michael Gorzynski will assume the role of chair. The board has approved his appointment, as well as a decrease in the board's size to six from seven members.
Stetson's departure, which isn't a result of any disagreement with the company, was expected.
