SiriusXM has hired a former executive of ADT for the newly created role of chief operating officer as another member of the C-suite departs.
The satellite radio and audio-streaming company said Tuesday that Wayne Thorsen has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer, starting Dec. 16. He was previously the chief business officer of ADT.
The company also disclosed that Joseph Inzerillo has stepped down as chief product and technology officer to pursue other opportunities.
In the new COO position, Thorsen will oversee the company's product and technology functions as well as its commercial activities, business development, certain marketing activities and corporate strategy, SiriusXM said.
