Canadian Solar Unit Tapped for Sunraycer Battery Storage, Solar Modules Projects

Canadian Solar (CSIQ) said Thursday its e-STORAGE battery design and manufacturing subsidiary was selected for three projects with Sunraycer Renewables, including battery energy storage supply and commissioning for two projects in Texas.

The commissioning agreements will provide direct-current capacity of 188 megawatt hours to Sunraycer's Gaia project in Navarro County and 127 MWh to the Midpoint project in Hill County, the company said. Commissioning for both projects is slated for Q3 in 2025.

The contract also includes the purchase of up to 2 gigawatts peak of high-efficiency solar modules for various Sunraycer projects, the company said.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
