MT Newswires Live12-10

Caterham EVo, a unit of VT Holdings (TYO:7593), will use Xing Mobility's immersion-cooled battery packs in its Project V electric sports coupe prototype, set for completion in 2025, according to a Monday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

The EV, first showcased at Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2023, prioritizes lightweight, simple, and fun-to-drive design. Xing Mobility's batteries offer advanced heat dissipation, safety, and an energy density of 200 Wh/kg, the filing said.

Project V development includes partnerships with Tokyo R&D and Yamaha Motor, whose e-Axle was announced as a key component in October, according to the filing.

The concept car will return to the Tokyo Auto Salon in January 2025.
