Sector Update: Financial Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Thursday

Financial stocks were leaning lower premarket Thursday as the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLF) declined 0.04% recently.

The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down nearly 0.3% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was nearly 0.2% higher.

MetLife (MET) shares were up nearly 2% after the company said it expects double-digit adjusted earnings per share growth over the next five years.

Nomura Holdings (NMR) and Morgan Stanley (MS) are set to roll out a foreign exchange market facility in India, Bloomberg News reported, citing people familiar with the matter. Nomura Holdings shares were over 1% higher pre-bell.

Aon (AON) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have launched a 110-million-euro ($115.6 million) facility to support the war risk insurance market in Ukraine. Aon shares were 0.01% higher premarket.
