AST SpaceMobile shares were up 11% after the company said it signed a long-term commercial agreement with Vodafone Group.

The space-based cellular broadband network company said this agreement establishes the framework for Vodafone to offer space-based cellular broadband connectivity in its home markets, as well as to other operators via its Partner Markets program.

Vodafone has made investments in AST SpaceMobile since 2018, and is a technology partner in AST SpaceMobile's development.

Vodafone has placed an order for AST SpaceMobile's first Block 1 BlueBird communications array.
