0940 GMT - European defense companies fell in Monday morning trading after Donald Trump called for an immediate ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia. The U.S. president-elect made his remarks hours after meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Paris for their first face-to-face talks since Trump won the U.S. election last month. German defense companies, which are among those benefiting most from the conflict, led the falls, with Renk Group plunging 5.65%, followed by Hensoldt and Rheinmetall, which fell 4.7% and 3.3% respectively. Sweden's Saab decreased 2.7%, while Italy's Leonardo fell 1.82% and Britain's BAE Systems dipped 1.9%. (cristina.gallardo@wsj.com)
