ReNew Energy Global Receives Proposal to be Acquired for $7.07 a Share

ReNew Energy Global received a non-binding proposal from multiple parties to acquire the company for a cash consideration of $7.07 a share.

The decarbonization solutions company said its Founder, Chairman and CEO Sumant Sinha, along with other parties including Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC-Masdar and the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board issued its proposal to acquire the entire issued and to be issued share capital of ReNew not already owned by members of the consortium.

ReNew said its board formed a special committee led by lead independent director Manoj Singh and consisting of six independent non-executive directors to consider the proposal.
