Dow Jones12-13

0810 ET - Several new hybrid vehicle models were among the fastest-selling vehicles in 2024 as their prices came down, the auto-shopping platform CarGurus says in a report. The average price of a new hybrid fell almost 10% to an average of $46,600, compared with an average of $49,000 for new combustible engine vehicles and an average of $62,000 for a fully electric vehicle, the report says. Prospective car buyers leaned into affordability this year amid generally high auto prices and interest rates, the report says. Some of the top-selling hybrids this year included the Toyota Sienna, Toyota Highlander Hybrid, and Honda Civic Hybrid, according to the report. (dean.seal@wsj.com)
