Unfortunately, Virco Mfg delivered a serious earnings miss. Revenues of US$83m were 15% below expectations, and statutory earnings per share of US$0.52 missed estimates by 40%.     Following the result, the analyst has updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there's been a strong change in the company's prospects, or if it's business as usual.  We thought readers would find it interesting to see the analyst latest (statutory) post-earnings forecasts for next year. If met, it would imply a credible 2.5% increase on its revenue over the past 12 months.       Statutory earnings per share are expected to sink 15% to US$1.31 in the same period. By way of comparison, the other companies in this industry with analyst coverage are forecast to grow their revenue at 7.3% per year.  Factoring in the forecast slowdown in growth, it seems obvious that Virco Mfg is also expected to grow slower than other industry participants.     The Bottom Line  The biggest concern is that the analyst reduced their earnings per share estimates, suggesting business headwinds could lay ahead for Virco Mfg.
