0911 GMT - Shares in U.K. banks with motor-finance exposure could be moved by the outcome of a judicial review relating to commissions launched by Barclays, RBC Capital Markets says in a research note. Barclays challenged the Financial Ombudsman Service's decision to uphold a complaint linked to its use of discretionary commissions. A judgment on the case could be imminent, analysts Benjamin Toms and Pablo de la Torre Cuevas write. Shares in U.K. banks could fall if the FOS's decision is upheld. "This would be the wrong reaction in our view as nothing will have actually changed following the decision," they say. The stocks could see a positive reaction if the FOS decision is quashed. This would be justified as the best case scenario would have improved, the analysts note. (elena.vardon@wsj.com)
