Apple (AAPL) plans to introduce a thinner, cheaper iPhone model and foldable devices starting in 2025 in an effort to revive growth, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing people familiar with the matter.
The thinner iPhone, which is expected to launch next year, will feature a cheaper camera that reduces the price, the report said.
The company's two foldable devices have been in development for years, the report said. One can serve as a laptop that can unfold to be as large as a desktop model, while a smaller model would unfold to a display size larger than an iPhone 16 Pro Max, WSJ said.
Apple executives are looking for a 2026 release of the foldable models, but the company may need another year to solve technical issues, according to WSJ.
Apple did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
