0937 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index closed flat at 3810.35 after trading in a tight range. The main theme overnight was higher U.S. bond yields after U.S. PPI came in hotter than expected, and equities retreated on Wall Street, the Commerzbank Research team said in a note. Markets await the Fed's decision next week, as well as key U.S. data releases including retail sales and industrial production. Jardine Matheson fell 2.6%, Hongkong Land lost 1.3% and Thai Beverage was 0.9% lower. Among advancers, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding rose 2.5%, Singtel gained 1.95% and Venture Corp. was 1.1% higher.
