PropertyGuru Goes Private in Private Equity Buyout

PropertyGuru (PGRU) was acquired by a fund managed by EQT Private Capital Asia for $6.70 per share in cash in a deal that values the company at an equity value of about $1.1 billion, the companies said Friday.

The online property marketplace was acquired by BPEA Private Equity Fund VIII, according to the press release.

PropertyGuru's shares stopped trading before the market open on Friday and it has been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange, the company said. It will now operate as a privately held firm.
