UL Solutions (ULS) said Wednesday that it was selected by the US Federal Communications Commission as the lead administrator to help implement the new US Cyber Trust Mark program.
The federal program will equip qualifying smart products with a cybersecurity safety label.
The company said it will help identify or develop the program standards and testing procedures to recommend to the FCC for approval.
UL Solutions will also help develop a national registry of certified products that can be accessed by consumers through QR code on the label, the company said.
