Hong Kong's securities regulator approved four cryptocurrency exchanges as the city promotes itself as a hub for assets such as cryptocurrencies to maintain its status as a financial center, Reuters reported Wednesday.

The new additions bring the total number of crypto exchanges in Hong Kong to seven. The licenses were issued under the swift licensing process, Reuters said.
