Southern Cross Gold (ASX:SXG) unearthed thick gold mineralization from a recent two-hole drill program at the Sunday Creek gold-antimony project in Victoria, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Drilling at the project's Rising Sun prospect yielded up to 242.1 meters at 6 grams per tonne (g/t) grade of gold across eight vein sets including 0.2 meters at 3,330 g/t gold and about 12% antimony, the miner said in the filing.
The company's shares were up almost 1% in recent Wednesday trade.
