Technology stocks were declining premarket Tuesday as the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) was down 0.7% and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) was 0.9% lower recently.
Cohu (COHU) shares were up past 2% after the company said it has agreed to acquire Tignis, a software provider focused on artificial intelligence-powered process control and monitoring.
Meta Platforms (META) has agreed to a 50 million Australian dollars ($31.7 million) settlement to resolve civil penalty proceedings launched by the Australian Information Commissioner in March 2020, the watchdog said. Meta Platforms shares were slightly lower pre-bell.
Alphabet's (GOOG) Waymo disclosed its expansion into Japan in partnership with Nihon Kotsu and GO, marking the first international destination for its autonomous vehicles. Alphabet shares were up 0.2% premarket.
