特斯拉股价的上涨得益于华尔街分析师大幅上调其目标价的推动。当地时间周日，韦德布什证券公司分析师丹·艾夫斯（Dan Ives）将特斯拉的目标价从400美元上调至515美元，成为华尔街最高目标价。他还给出了“乐观情景”下的目标价650美元，这将使特斯拉的市值达到约2.1万亿美元，而目前特斯拉市值约为1.45万亿美元。
