HSBC (HKG:0005) Chairman Mark Tucker will head the UK government's business delegation to China in January 2025 in a bid to attract more Chinese business to the country, Reuters reported Thursday, citing sources.
The delegation will be the most important since 2018, and Tucker, a former Hong Kong resident, would be a useful asset for the UK's revival of China relations, according to the report.
UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves will be in Beijing to dialogue with Vice Premier He Lifeng and revive bilateral economic and financial cooperation, the report said, citing the UK Treasury.
