Natural Gas Futures Decline Amid Mild Weather Forecast -- Market Talk

Dow Jones12-20

0952 ET - Natural gas prices give up early gains and fall as weather conditions look mild for the coming weeks, before getting colder next month. "Price volatility is likely," EBW analysts write. The EIA reported yesterday that natural gas in storage fell by 125 billion cubic feet last week, more than the 92 Bcf five-year average. Total storage, however, remains above average "with an exceedingly mild two-week span to rebuild inventories ahead," EBW says. The January contract falls slightly to $3.571.
