Cara Therapeutics (CARA) shares tumbled 22% in recent Friday premarket activity, shaving Thursday's surge.

Novo Nordisk (NVO) stock slumped 20% after it said its experimental obesity therapy CagriSema met the primary endpoint in a phase 3 trial as it showed superior weight loss compared to a placebo, but the results fell short of its expectations.

NIKE (NKE) stock was down 7.2%, a day after it reported lower fiscal Q2 earnings and revenue from a year earlier.

United States Steel (X) shares slipped 6%, after saying Thursday it expects a Q4 adjusted net loss per diluted share between $0.29 and $0.25. Analysts polled by FactSet expect non-GAAP earnings per share of $0.04.

Tesla (TSLA) stock fell almost 5% after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Thursday that the EV maker is recalling 694,304 vehicles in the US over a problem with the tire pressure monitoring system.
